-Original title 'What A Shame'. The Rolling Stones, Now! album (issued in Feb 1965) had a song with this name which prompted then bassist John Fleckenstein to point this out. Even though he had left the band at the time the song was recorded they gave Fleck songwriting co-credit, his only one for LoVE.
-New lyrics were written in the studio at the time it was recorded.
-IMHO: The guitar break, though brief and not flashy, really drives this song.
-Fun fact: This is the LoVE song that can't escape ties with Britain. Even after changing the title from 'What A Shame', the new name bears almost the same title (though they are completely different sounding) as the Who's first hit in 1964, "I Can't Explain".
