What's the story behind the mono WFTS? It's a fold-down mix only produced in limited quantities or only produced internationally?

I've only gone by what Bruce said about it being a fold-down.
I heard once that YTRK is a different mix but I never substantiated that.
I'll have to check.
But there is a US and a UK version, I have one of each.
Probably more from other countries too.

Rumor has it only 5,000 WFTS US mono's were pressed.
About 7 yrs ago, I met this guy selling doors stuff on ebay. I talked to him on the side and he told me that he had the WFTS mono in his personal collection and if I was interested in purchasing it. He was asking $200 and sent pics. I mailed out the money order that day. What a clean, NM copy and it sounds great on the turntable. It's a real pleasure listening to it once in a while.

I've heard two figures - 1,000 and 500.
Never 5,000.

I've never heard it but my guess is it's a fold down since some/most of the mono Strange Days tracks are fold downs.

Those look like a nice pair (and don't take that the wrong way), but why are you selling them off? Are they extra copies from your collection? Another copy (US version) recently sold on the 'bay for $761. w00t.
BTW, a big thank you to Dan for being willing to transfer his copy. Though it might just be a fold-down, nothing sounds quite like a nice vinyl transfer.

I'd rather be able to purchase a couple of vinyl box sets and a plane ticket to Cleveland than just have those two records sitting around for me to look at.
I'll buy them again someday, maybe even upgrade.
But the ship is sailing on the box sets, and the event is a one-time deal.
I can console myslef with all the other rare things I have.
P.S. Anyone who uses w00t gets a gold star from me.

I'm sittin' around with friends, hitting F5 every few minutes.
"What's it at?"
$525
"What's it at?"

"What's it at?"

"How about now?"
Oh, only $937.
Barring some unforeseen circumstance, I shall see you in Cleveland.

First class tickets from your neck of the woods to Cleveland are running around $750. And you could still get that box set!

Ack...
Not much for strippers.
Naked women, yes.
Naked women with two kids and a coke habit, not so much.

In Canada, we have loonies and toonies (1$ & 2$ coins) that we "toss" at the strippers.
Sometimes i flick them as hard as i can at them, but its okay, they're not real people, they're already dead inside.

Damn, most of the girls are real nice & cool people. And they can give me lapdance anytime of the day.
